Give Thanks!

Today's sermon is on giving thanks to God always. Though my name in Latin means "thank you", unfortunately I hardly express my gratitude towards God for the things He has done in my life. I decided to compile a list to thank Him. And it is really from the bottom of my heart.

I want to thank God for:

1) my eyes - though I do not have perfect eyesights BUT I can see!

2) my ears - my world is not silent

3) my mouth - my thoughts are not unspoken

4) my nose - I can smell the fragrance of my perfume

5) my tears - I can express my joy and sorrows

6) my tastebud - I can taste the tastiest 6 International Business Park-The Atrium-Penang Place-char koay teow in s'pore

7) my hands - I can type this post on my blog

8) my legs - main means of transportation

9) my family - broken BUT not destroyed

10) my job - I am able to contribute and bless others

11) my friends - invaluable helps come from them

12) my spiritual parents (esp the ones in PP) - train me up the way that I should go...

13) ppl who irritates the wits out of me - they are good at stretching my patience

14) the problems I face in life - they make me stronger

15) answered prayers - You heard my cries

16) unanswered prayers - You heard my cries, it will be answered in due time according to Your will

17) Your mercy - You didn't write me off despite my failures

18) Your patience - even though I messed up so many times

19) Your faithfulness - You are always there

20) Your forgiveness - I am not condemned

21) Your blood - You've cleansed me

22) Your righteousness - the evil ones shall not prevail

23) Your acceptance - remedy for rejection

24) Your love - so unconditionally

25) Your grace - so amazing!

The list is not exhaustive. Seriously it's not hard to think of things to thank God...it just never occured to me to thank Him. I mean who would think of thanking Him for things like toilet bowls?...hmmm...maybe after coming back from mission trips.
