GV Vivocity
Haven't been "touching" my blog, time dust off some dirt from it.
Had the privilege to watch the 1st show on the grand opening of GV Vivocity last sat. GV Max is pretty impressive...erm...huge. And lotsa leg space...this is what I like best. Watched "World Trade Center", a film dedicated to those who perished on Sep 11 2001. However, the main focus point of the film was not the terrorists' attack on the buildings but love, courage and strength of the people faced with adversities.
It was a true account of 2 port authority policemen (John and Will) who got called up to help out at the site and were eventually buried 20 feet under the rubble. They fought, they perservered and they encouraged each other to never give up. It also showed the agony and the ordeal which their families had to endure, the spirit of altruism portrayed by rescuers. The light at the end of tunnel was not the light from the incoming train.
There were lotsa moving scenes that gripped my heart. There was one scene between John and Will when they were lying helplessly under the rubble. One told the another this - "Pain is your friend, if you can feel the pain, it means you're alive." Thank God for the pain in our lives. No one escapes from pain as long as we are in this world. Pain gets us alone with God, for He is the only one who can bear it with you. Pain may have its purpose to bring out the best in you and to experience His best for you. Read 2 Cor 12:10.
Another scene was when the debris and rubbles keep crumbling down on both of them and they thought that was the end to their lives. Will urged John to use his wireless walkie-talkie to send love message to his family, esp his pregnant wife. And things which they recalled and regretted they never did before they were buried 20 feet below.
When was the last time that you wanted to say "I love you" to the loved ones in your family or even amongst friends, but never got to that point of articulating it? When was the last time you had an arguement over some disagreements or petty issues and never got over the stage of forgiveness and to mend things up? Maybe you wonder for what reasons you should forgive and mend things up. Maybe you wonder for what reasons that you should convey your love to them, when it is supposed to be "automatically known" without the need of saying it and making it known by the other parties.
Because there may not be a tomorrow for them to be around...there may not be a tomorrow for you to show it, to verbalise it, or to patch up the hurts and unforgiveness. And when you realise that they are gone from this world out of a sudden (though you may meet them up there one day ...), there's really no chance for you to do that anymore.
